I own very few Virtual Console games. I love the idea of the Virtual Console, but I rarely bring myself to spend the 5-10 dollars it takes to grab a classic game. A large part of this, admittedly, is probably due to me having nearly all of my old consoles still in working condition and hooked up in my “study,” so I can satisfy my classic games Jones-ing with the real deal when I want it. However, one of the few I own is Kirby’s Adventure. I rock that game out any time I get the chance. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is, but I absolutely love Kirby. He’s even my #2 in the Smash Brothers titles (behind my ever-dependable Yoshi).

Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn’t seem to share my love. Sad but true, Nintendo continues to claim they have no plans to release a Kirby title for the Wii. UK’s official Nintendo Magazine flat out said there were no plans, but acknowledged that the puffball has alot of fans. Their advice? Check him out in Smash Brothers, of course. Which you can certainly bet I will do, but still — why no Kirby title for the Wii? At least the DS pitches him some love these days.
