This is pretty cool, despite the fact it could be seen as a bit of a cash-in. HORI, some say God of all things peripheral like, have come up with the Wii Fit Mat. Yes this is exactly what it sounds like, a mat that sits on the floor under your Wii Fit board, to stop slippage and other nastiness.

What you’ve essentially got here is a flashy yoga mat. I know this because I have a few kicking around and this looks exactly the same, only mine aren’t bright green. So really, you could just buy a yoga mat from any place and use it one would imagine, of course it won’t have ‘Wii Fit’ written on one end of it, so might not be cool enough. As with regular yoga mats, the Wii Fit Mat can be rolled up for easy storage.

The Wii Fit Mat is out in Japan and is selling for Y3,280, or in US dollars that’s about $31. Not too shabby.
