Wii Damages More Than Just TVs

Posted on October 31st, 2007 by Mark in Wii Gaming

Okay, normally this blog shares news, information, and other such interesting details about our favorite little console, the Nintendo Wii. Today, we’re taking a quick break from the “actual news” stuff to share with you a great humorous anecdote from a fellow Wii enthusiast — Mowstree over at Register Hardware. Mowstree is a proud video game enthusiast who owns several consoles, but admits to enjoying Nintendo’s new system the most.

Like most “hardcore” gamers, Mowstree feels the irrepressible desire to not only beat games, but to totally own them. You know how it is — it isn’t enough to simply finish a Metroid game, you’ve got to have every stinking missile expansion before you do. There is a reason they show you that percent finished rating, after all. Mowstree felt the call with Wii Sports, and spent many, many hours trying to jack his professional rating to the max. Unfortunately for him, a particularly fast return resulted in a very ambitious, hard swing — bringing his fist and remote right around into his ribcage. Yes friends, broken rib. Now that is a serious gamer.
