It was only a matter of time really, even when the Wii first released I remember having a conversation about cheerleading games for the Wii. Seems like Namco has latched onto the idea as they are rumored to be presently developing the Wii Cheerleading title in the US. Rumor has it Wii Cheer will use the balance board to stand on, whilst you utilize a Wiimote / Nunchuck combination for your pom poms.

I’m sure there are guys out there groaning at the idea, but I have to say I don’t think I’ve ever seen a non physically in shape male or female cheerleader, so the boys should definitely get shaking their ‘pom poms’ too when this title is released. Oh speaking of which, it’s all a bit up in the air, so there’s no release date as yet.

I always did enjoy those stupid cheerleader levels in WarioWare Smooth Moves, man I really need to shake the dust of that game whilst I’m waiting Wii Cheer (or whatever it will be called) arriving.
