Japanese gaming God of the gaming news world–Famitsu has revealed details for the upcoming Japanese release ‘Wi-Fi Taiou Genzen Table Games’. According to an article appearing in Famitsu, the game will be a compilation of ten popular table games, including, but not restricted to chess, backgammon, diafugo, renju and reversi.

Given the Wi-Fi capability of the title, gamers will be able to play online or against the computer. The simplicity of these sorts of games should carry over well on the Wii and particularly the Wi-Fi network. At present there’s only a tentative Spring 2008 release period for the game in Japan and no word of a US / Euro release. One would imagine given the lack of in depth localisation that would be needed, this title should be with Wii owners outside Japaen 3rd or 4th quarter 2008.
