Tony Hawk Actually Looking to Innovate?

Today’s potential new game floating around the internet comes deep from within the files of “did anyone not see this coming?”
We’ll start with the already-famous-although-not-technically-released-yet “balance board” peripheral set for release with the Wii’s upcoming not-actually-a-game-video game Wii Fit. Naturally, as soon as the new peripheral was announced, other producers started eyeing it up with a critical gaze. All too often these sorts of toys find very, very limited use outside of the one game they were created for.
However, this may not be the fate for the Balance Board, as a third-party developer has announced at least a vague interest in developing a game to utilize its unique qualities. Guess who? None other than the insanely prolific game producer Tony Hawk! Yes, he of the 50 thousand skateboarder video games recently mentioned that he’d like to investigate a bit, saying “I’ve seen a little bit of it. I think it’s possible to incorporate the Wii Fit board into one of our games, but it would change the control scheme dramatically and we’d have to figure out how to make that work. So I don’t know yet.”
So what say you, gamers? Is there any potential for Tony Hawk utilizing the Balance Board? At least it represents an avenue for change and progress in what is often seen as a very stale franchise, right?
