Nintendo Japan has weighed in on all those gamers having Super Smash Bros. Brawl loading issues by stating its dirty lenses and not an intrinsic problem with the disks. When the game recently launched in Japan it had quite a few gamers pulling out hair in frustration that the game was doing all manner of things from not loading to choppy playback.

On the upside it actually appears that rather than being a passing the buck move my Nintendo that this one might actually be true. Nintendo offered to clean consoles free of charge saying the dual layer DVD format of SSBB meant the disks were more sensitive to dust particles. Guess that gives the rest of the world plenty of time to dust their Wii’s prior to the games release outside Japan.
