Smash Brothers Brawl Euro Release Woes
Posted on December 07th, 2007 by Angela in Release Dates
Okay so it seems I have a theme today, but it’s purely coincidental that Nintendo are screwing over the non U.S. and Japanese gamers two of my posts for the day.. honestly. If it’s news it needs to be reported and this is news so.. “here we go” as Mario would say.
PAL territory gamers won’t be playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl until the second half of 2008. Yeah, that release list I was on about, no Brawl in sight. Nintendo was contacted by VideoGamer.com and they relpied with “If the game is not listed on the schedule up until the end of Q2 it is currently not due out until after that time.” Great, you can tell by the tone, they really care.
For U.S. Wii gamers, better news, Super Smash Brothers Brawl is slated for a February 10 release. So that’s a good 4 months minimum in front of your friends across the pond. It would be interesting to hear from some of our American based readers about what they make of this, as obviously it’s easy to complain when you’re feeling stiffed constantly. Do U.S. gamers realise how good they’ve got it? Do they even care the rest of the world has to wait longer than them for a lot of titles? For me personally I don’t really care for this title, but I know someone else in my house is going to be VERY upset when I impart this news to her.
