Just yesterday, I got somewhat righteously angry at Capcom for shoving Resident Evil ports down the Wii’s throat while holding out on us with Resident Evil 5. Now, I have to backtrack. No, not on the RE5 front — I’d LOVE to have been wrong about that. Turns out, I was wrong about Resident Evil 0. Well, unless you live in Japan.

The news about a port for the Wii was accurate, but only within one geographical region. Turns out those of us who live outside of Nintendo’s home country will have to import the game if we want to play it. Or, you know, but a used Gamecube copy for a few bucks and just deal with not having motion sensitive controllers. Frankly, I don’t feel like I’m missing out here, but I’m sure some of you out there are saddened by this news, right?

In the meantime, you can just have another play through of RE4 or Umbrella Chronicles, and silently curse Capcom for denying us the next edition in the franchise.
