You will probably all remember Ubisoft’s Red Steel title for one of a couple of reasons, either the utter excitement at first seeing the trailers prior to the release and the thought of slashing about a katana care of the Wiimote or the utter letdown upon release.

If you felt the utter letdown, you’re probably feeling a little less than excited by the news Ubisoft has announced a sequel to the title. The Official Nintendo Magazine states the sequel has actually been in development for some time.

Apparently Ubisoft are wanting to lessen the hype this time and polish the title, given the previous game had all manner of technical glitches and play issues (I know it drove me nuts!). Apparently there may also be the option of online game play with the sequel, though details regarding that are slim at present.
