Nintendo Australia play Santa

Wii BaseballThis is a nice story that hit a local paper in Geelong, Australia. Spritely 11 year old Taylor Smith suffers from the degenerative muscle disease arthrogryposis, which means the muscles in her arms don’t grow. A family friend attached a Wiimote to her arm and she was able to play on his Wii. The family friend contacted Nintendo Australia explaining the situation and Nintendo responded by having a new Wii delivered to Taylor’s home.

Since the arrival of the Wii, Taylor and her siblings have had numerous hours of fun, with Taylor’s favorite title being Wii Sports Baseball. She stated the console was one of the best presents she had ever received.

It’s good to know this sort of kindness still exists and the joy on this little girls face is just lovely. Given the limited movement in her arms and legs, it’s great to see the fun the Wii could still bring one kid this holiday season. As we say downunder ‘Onya Nintendo!’ (Good On You Nintendo – for the non Aussie readers).
