New Wii 2010 - So the analysts say

You have to love analysts and all their predictions, more so because they have a general rule of suggesting something obvious will happen at some time in the future. Consoles come and go and they go through generations when they stick, it’s therefore not a huge leap to suggest a new Nintendo Wii will be released in a couple of years time.
Evan Wilson, an analyst for Pacific Crest suggests a demand for new hardware around 2010. “We believe that peak industry sales will occur in 2010, given that Microsoft will likely introduce its next console that year and Nintendo will likely launch before then.”
He also suggests new handhelds will be in the offing around that time. I’d tend to think a new DS may even appear before that, perhaps next year some time, but as for the Wii, it’s difficult to just when it will be given an update has been rumored since mid last year. One thing is for sure, gamers will be screaming for certain additions to a new Wii, possibly DVD playback (which was rumored last year) and some region free gaming (unlikely).

im not sure if the wii is better than the ps3 or that it should be outselling the ps3 because there will still be more games to come out for the ps3 and im certain they’ll be very good (but then again very expensive).

i dont want another wii to come out that soon as everyone is still buying them and what a waste of money that would be to get a new one with only a dvd player added to make it seem different from the one we have now.
it is the same with the ds and the ds lite why did they change so little what was the point in that

Wii better than the PS3? They aren’t even in the same category. The Wii is better in many ways, while the PS3 has very powerful hardware and a Blu-Ray player.

WTF?? Nintendo wont release enough WIIs now to keep them in stock in stores. If they release a 2nd, I hope they make enough. But something tells me they wont
