SNK has announced a funky new Neo Geo arcade stick for the Nintendo Wii. With the Neo Geo having an almost cult status amongst some gamers, it’s brilliant to see the Neo Geo Wii controller in the offing.

There’s not much known about the controller at the moment, other than it has that Neo Geo look and a price that isn’t all too hard to swallow at around $50 USD. The Neo Geo Wii arcade stick 2 is released in Japan April 10 and will allegedly be compatible with all your virtual console games.

One thing though, it is really cool in black, but one has to wonder whether they’ll eventually release a white Neo Geo Wii controller, so it all matches in. Not that I’m that anal about it, since I prefer my black DS to the white, just a thought for those that would probably enjoy a little matching in goodness. Lastly there’s no word on a US or European release date, but that’s to be expected really.
