More Details on Mario Kart Wii

2.jpgYes I know, we’re all waiting on this one, so when new information becomes available of course we’re going to cover it! Nintendo Power has revealed even more Mario Kart Wii goodness in the form of a whopping 16 new tracks as standard and some cool new weapons (though details of both are sketchy at best).

Mario Kart Wii will feature a motion sensing steering game mechanic and come bundled with a plastic Mario Kart wheel peripheral that your Wiimote will clip into. The title will also apparently support a massive 12 players. Along with this news there will also be the addition of some classic tracks, all brought bang up to date for the Nintendo Wii.

If there’s a Wii owner out there not looking forward to this title, we’d love to hear why. For me, I’m waiting to see how well the control mechanism crosses over from the much loved regular control method to the new motion sensing–it will be like losing an old friend on one hand and gaining a new one on the other.
