We’re probably all looking forward to this one and Nintendo appeased the masses by at least giving us a tiny bit of insight into the release of Mario Kart on the Wii by saying Q2 2008. Don’t you hate it when they use the old ‘Quarter’ release info. Ahh well at least it wasn’t Q4.

Zack and Wiki will get a Euro release of January 18, so that’s something for our European readership to keep in mind when they get cash for Christmas. Along with that there’s Donkey Kong Jet Race (aka Donkey Kong Barrel Blast), also released in late January in Europe.. yes there’s a pattern here and it’s the usual one, games releasing months later in Europe than in the states.

Stand out releases for 2008 for me would be NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, since I did adored this title on my beloved Saturn. Ghost Squad, just so I can shoot some stuff Time Crisis stylee. Mario Kart - goes without saying really. Zack and Wiki, because I’ve heard my U.S. friends talk about it positively till my ears have bled. And finally Harvest Moon Magical Melody, not for the reasons you’re probably thinking (she’s a girl gamer - OBVIOUSLY she’d want this), I don’t like Harvest Moon. I’ve bought two version of the franchise, one of DS and one on GBA and never liked either. I am hoping this one will be different - maybe our U.S. readers could enlighten me, since once again they’ve had it some time.
