Fun Wii Channel Stuff

By cool Wii extras I mean cool things on the Wii that perhaps you overlook. Lately I’ve been taking part in the Wii Voting Channel and other people in my family are too and you know what, it’s fun. The Everybody Votes Channel is a channel on your Wii where you can take part in polls. Sure they’re silly, ‘Do you cut your sandwiches in rectangles or triangles’, ‘Do you believe in ghosts?’, but they’re fun to vote in and fun to try and guess what other people will say as well. If you haven’t taken part in the Everybody Votes Channel and have a few minutes spare, give it a go, you might just like it.
Another thing the Wii has going on at the moment is the Check Mii Out Channel, here you can check out any contests going and enter your Mii’s if you like, you can also scoop up Mii’s that take your fancy and give them an “I Like it!” type of vote and import them. The coolest though is the look-a-like contest. Here you can vote on what Mii you think best represents whatever the named character is. Just this weekend I voted for the best Mario Without a Cap, best Hamlet and best Cleopatra. Sure it’s shallow, but you can’t help but be amazed at the trouble some people have gone to when designing their Mii’s. The other thing about this particular channel is just how similar a lot of the Mii’s look. Sure these things might have a short shelf life, but at least give them a go, you might just like them, even for a short while.
