It’s only been out in the US since September, but Fishing Master (Tsuri Master - Japan) has had a nice pre-holiday season price drop. You can now pick up Fishing Master for the bargaintastic price of just $29.99. The El Presidente of Hudson Entertainment (the makers of the game) says “Fishing Master is the perfect holiday gift this season.”

It may be a lovely gesture, or they may be trying to sell as many as they can before Sega Bass Fishing hits the Wii. I’ve still got Sega Bass Fishing on the Dreamcast and it’s an amazing game, which will no doubt be made all the better on the Wii. That said Fishing Master has been averaging 7 out of 10 on the reviews circuit, so not too bad really. It also features a single player mode and up to four player head to head mode, that’s gotta be fun for 30 bucks.

For those gamers outside the US and Japan, there’s still no release date for Fishing Master. Sucks doesn’t it.
