Don’t get too excited just yet, it looks like this baby might just be a Japanese exclusive for members of Club Nintendo. The Famicom styled Wii Virtual Console controller is set for a Japanese release around April 2008, but at this stage only to Club Nintendo members.

You would imagine by the sheer popularity factor this Wii accessory will have that it will see a release outside of Japan and on reguar retailers sholves some time in 2008. I’d go so far as to say you will be able to buy this for sure next year, along with various other ‘retro’ styled goodies, they’re just too much of a money maker to pass up surely? Fingers crossed anyway!
