Blogging From My Wii
Posted on December 28th, 2007 by Mark in Wii Online
Hey folks, we’ve got a landmark post here. Today, I come to you live blogging from my Nintendo Wii! That’s right, Wii Centre written right from the Wii. Now if you would just log onto the internet with your Wii and read this post, we’d be rocking it out hardcore.
So why is this happening? Well, because I got myself a fancypants new keyboard, and wonder of wonders the Wii recognizes it. The cool part is the keyboard is wireless, which means I can sit anywhere in my living room and blog on the Wii. However, my little video game cart is starting to get quite full — and it now has TWO wireless sensors on it. Thankfully, they don’t seem to be fighting each other or anything. Oh, the wonderous magics of wireless gizmos.
Unfortunately, this new blogging method will probably not become a habit for now. While the keyboard certainly makes typing easier, the spartan nature of the Opera browser/Wii combo currently makes it a bit difficult to wing my way around the internet as quickly as my robust Firefox/laptop combo does. This may be a user limitation as much as it is a software limitation — I really don’t know yet. If Nintendo pushes out more firmware updates, and/or I learn more about the Opera brower, this may become a regular deal.
