So it’s not a date exactly, but it’s something and that’s all that matters to this Animal Crossing fanatic. According to a Nintendo investor report Animal Crossing is planned to release on the Nintendo Wii this year, yes!!! Here’s hoping it’s true.

Of course if it is true this is in Japan and there will no doubt be a good many months between the Japanese release and elsewhere, but it’s still great news that Animal Crossing Wii hasn’t just disappeared and it’s still due a release.

If you never got into Animal Crossing on your DS or GameCube, this will be your chance to experience the magic of this title. Hopefully the Wii version will use full online connectivity and allow for town visitations with friends.

Oh I thought fans of Kirby might want to know a version of Kirby is also slated for a Japanese release this year.
