Dear God,

Hey Father, it’s Mark again. Listen, I know usually I don’t bother You with the small details in life, but I really need to beg You on this one. I’m sure you know all about Capcom’s big “secret announcement” they’ve been pimping recently — seeing as how you know all about everything, and whatnot — but in case You were too busy tending to the prayers of those who are suffering from famine, disasters, etc, and didn’t hear; they dropped the bomb today, announcing Street Fighter 4.

As you know, your son here is a big fan of the Street Fighter franchise, as are most children of my decade. We grew up on this game, we blistered our fingers pulling off d+ pad combos, and we bought every “turbo” version that existed. And now they’re bringing us even more! So I’ve got two humble boons to beg of You in light of this new game:

1. Please, please, let it be 2D. The concept of Street Fighter in 3D just doesn’t fit into my brain. Of course, seeing as how You know the future and all, if You happen to check in and see that they pull off a mind-blowing 3D Street Fighter, I suppose that might be okay.

2. This is the big one, God. PLEASE bring it to the Nintendo Wii. Capcom hasn’t announced any platforms for the game yet, and I desperately want to play this sucker on my Nintendo. I don’t know whose hearts You’ll have to work on, but please work on them. Wii needs this game.

That’s all for now. I think I’m going to head over to the website and watch the official trailer a few more times!
