Planet 51 and Secret Title by Pyro

Pyro Studios have a couple of Wii titles on the cooker at the moment, including a ’secret wii title’ said to be an adventure title slated for a 2008 release on the Wii. This title is apparently different to the movie tie-in Planet 51 that will launch in March 2009 along with the animated feature film of the same name. Pyro Studios are most well known for their ‘Commandos’ game.

Planet 51 by New Line tells the story of an astronaut (Chuck Baker) who lands on a planet of aliens paranoid of alien invasion. There’ll no doubt be the whole moralising aspects of don’t fear what you don’t understand, or at least one would imagine so. Along with the videogame tie-in (which is cross format), there’ll also be a merchandising push, so expect lots of toys and happy meal garbage.
